Huawei has introduced a new gem to its line-up with the Pura70 Ultra, representing a shift towards a purer and simpler aesthetic combined with top-tier technology.
This latest release under the revamped “Pura” series, which traditionally stood for unparalleled photography, now leaps becoming a symbol of style and a work of art.
The smartphone unboxing experience its performance and its functionalities will be discussed in detail.
Pura70 Ultra Impressions and Design:
From the very first glance, the Pura70 Ultra sets itself apart with its packaging. The box is larger than those of its predecessors, hinting at the grandeur inside.
Upon opening, the first thing you encounter is the phone itself, available in a unique brown color during our purchase.
This variant looks distinct and enhances the feel of the device compared to other models.
Accompanying the phone in the box is a beautifully designed phone case that matches perfectly with the brown model.
This case isn’t just about protection; it’s a statement piece, reflective of the Pura70 Ultra’s art-like design.
Power in Your Hands:
Diving deeper into what’s beneath the surface, the Pura70 Ultra is equipped with a 100W charger that supports both wired and an impressive 80W wireless charging, pushing the boundaries of battery technology. Additionally, the extended battery capacity of 5200 mAh will give you more play time even with the most vigorous usage.
Photography and Visuals:
The Pura70 Ultra, identical to the rest of the ‘P’ range which is often synonymous with spot-on photography, is loaded with the latest camera hardware.
The phone features a new, stylish camera module design that will turn heads. The main camera is compelling, with a 1-inch RYB sensor, f1.6 aperture, and sensor-shift stabilization.
Additionally, this model introduces a retractable lens, enhancing optical quality without the bulkiness typically associated with high-end smartphone cameras.
The results from the camera are stellar. All three rear cameras provide quick and accurate focusing, managing to capture images with excellent dynamic range and color reproduction.
By deciding on 10x zoom, I observed that the image resolution and the visible details were so clear that could be a result of Huawei’s artificial intelligence.
Performance Under the Hood:
The Huawei Pura70 Ultra is powered by the new Kirin 910 chipset, which is a subtle upgrade over its predecessor with enhanced frequencies for better performance.
Although it’s a modest improvement, the chipset performs well in benchmark tests, especially in multi-core processing and graphics, thanks to the continued use of the Mali-G78 GPU.
The display technology is also worth noting. The Pura70 Ultra features an FHD+ 120Hz OLED panel with LTPO technology, allowing for varying refresh rates to optimize battery life.
The use of the latest Black “Tutorius” Quinin glass makes the screen significantly resistant to drops, enhancing durability without compromising on clarity.
Connectivity and Software:
The Pura70 Ultra runs on Harmony OS 4.2 and supports advanced connectivity options including NFC, an IR transmitter, and dual SIM capabilities.
It’s also ready for satellite calling within China, which could be a game-changer for users in remote areas. Despite the absence of Google Mobile Services, the system is highly optimized and responsive, making multitasking smooth and enjoyable.
Additional Features and Conclusion:
The P70 Ultra has these key features and more: satellite calling (which can only be used within China), waterproofing (based on IP68 technology), NFC and IR transmitters, dual SIM card support, USB 3.1 Gen 1 interface, and Harmony OS 4.2. Kieran 910 is smaller and more energy efficient, yet its processing power is very close to that of 9000s. However, the P70 Ultra is highly intuitive and allows good responsiveness when in use, but its main drawback is the lack of access to Google Mobile Services (GMS).
Huawei has been in smartphones long enough and the P70 series is the culmination of the brand’s determination to be up-to-date technology-wise. Notwithstanding the areas that have room for improvement, Huawei has indeed performed very well and is among the industry leaders. We aim that it will hit the market globally shortly.
The Huawei Pura70 Ultra not only marks an evolution in design but also reaffirms Huawei’s commitment to innovation in the smartphone market. With its elegant design, cutting-edge camera technology, and robust performance, the Pura70 Ultra is poised to be a favorite among tech enthusiasts and style-conscious users alike. As it continues to sell out swiftly in markets, one can only hope for its global release soon, promising a new era of mobile technology enriched with art and innovation.
